| February 2013 Sorry that it's been so long since the last news update, but here at St Mary's we're still in the final clutches of winder, but it will soon be February half-term and boaters are thinking about cleaning down those boats and perhaps having a gentle run out for a day or two. | January 2011 Sorry that it's been so long since we've posted a news update on the site, but quite a lot has happened in the intervening months as the marina - and the rest of the country - has been gripped by a freezing cold winter. We believe that we've coped quite well here in Rufford, despite the extremely cold temperatures, but it's been a time for only the very hardiest of boaters! | September 2010 Well, it's been an eventful late summer and autumn with the closure of sections of the Leeds - Liverpool Canal due to water shortages. However, we see that British waterways has now re-opened the entire canal so boaters can enjoy plenty of autumn sailing. | August 2009 We're now at the height of the cruising season and the local canals are busy with crews heading for the Lancaster Canal (via the Ribble Link) and also with those heading for the new Liverpool Canal Link.
